ပေလာင္အမ်ဳိးသမီးအစည္းအရံုး၏ ယံုၾကည္ခ်က္ 

အမ်ဳိးသမီးမ်ား၏ အခြင့္အေရးမ်ားကို အသိအမွတ္ျပဳ ေလးစားျခင္း၊ ႏုိင္ငံေရးႏွင့္ လူမႈေရးလုပ္ငန္းစဥ္မ်ား  တြင္ အဆင့္တုိင္းေနရာတုိင္း၌ အမ်ဳိးသမီးမ်ားကို ပါ၀င္ေဆာင္ရြက္ခြင့္ေပးျခင္းသည္ တရားမွ်တမႈရွိသည့္ လူ႔ေဘာင္အဖြဲ႔အစည္းတရပ္ ထူေထာင္ရာတြင္ လုပ္ငန္းတခုအေနျဖင့္ ပါ၀င္သည္ဟု ပေလာင္အမ်ဳိးသမီး အစည္းအရံုးက ယံုၾကည္ပါသည္။

အဖြဲ႔အစည္းအေၾကာင္း

တျခားေသာ ပေလာင္အဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားအတြင္း အမ်ဳိးသမီးမ်ား၏ တက္ၾကြစြာပူးေပါင္းပါ၀င္မႈ ရွားပါးေန သည္ကို အေျဖရွာသည့္အေနျဖင့္ ပေလာင္အမ်ဳိးသမီးအစည္းအရံုးကို ၂၀၀၀ခုႏွစ္တြင္ စတင္တည္ေထာင္ခဲ့ ပါသည္။ အခ်ဳိ႔ေသာ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈ ဓေလ့ထံုးတမ္းမ်ားေၾကာင့္ အမ်ဳိးသားမ်ားသည္ ပညာေပးသင္တန္းမ်ား၊ အဂၤလိပ္စာႏွင့္ ကြန္ပ်ဴတာကြ်မ္းက်င္မႈ သင္တန္းမ်ား၊ ေခါင္းေဆာင္မႈ အခြင့္အေရးမ်ားပို၍ ရႏုိင္ေျခရွိသည္ ကို ေတြ႔ရပါသည္။

ပေလာင္အမ်ဳိးသမီးအစည္းအရံုးကို အမ်ဳိးသမီးမ်ားအား ပညာေပးရန္ႏွင့္ စြမ္းရည္ျမွင့္တင္ေဆာင္ရြက္ေပး ရန္ ရည္ရြယ္ဖြဲ႔စည္းျခင္းျဖစ္ပါသည္။ သို႔မွသာလွ်င္ သူတို႔၏ ကိုယ္ပိုင္ျပဌာန္းခြင့္ကို ပိုမိုခုိင္မာစြာ က်င့္သံုး လာႏုိင္ၿပီး လူမႈအဖြဲ႔အစည္းအတြင္း တန္းတူရည္တူပါ၀င္ေဆာင္ရြက္လာႏုိင္ေစရန္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။

ရည္မွန္းခ်က္ပန္းတိုင္

ပေလာင္အမ်ဳိးသမီးအစည္းအရံုးသည္ တန္းတူညီမွ်မႈႏွင့္ ၿငိမ္းခ်မ္း၍ တရားမွ်တေသာ လူ႔ေဘာင္အဖြဲ႔ အစည္းသို႔ ေရွ႔ရႈ၍ ပေလာင္အမ်ဳိးသမီးဘဝ အဆင့္အတန္းတိုးတက္ျမင့္မားေရးအတြက္ ႀကိဳးပမ္းေဆာင္ ရြက္ ေနသည့္ အဖြဲ႔အစည္းျဖစ္ သည္။

ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္

• ပေလာင္အမ်ဳိးသမီးမ်ား၏ လူေနမႈအဆင့္အတန္း ဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးတိုးတက္ ျမင့္မားလာေစရန္ႏွင့္ ႏုိင္ငံေရး ဆံုးျဖတ္ခ်က္ခ်သည့္ အခန္းက႑တုိင္းတြင္ ပါဝင္လာေစရန္။
• ပေလာင္စာေပႏွင့္ ယဥ္ေက်းမႈကို ထိန္းသိမ္းျမွင့္တင္ရန္။
• ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံ ၿငိမ္းခ်မ္းေရး၊ ဒီမိုကေရစီေရးႏွင့္ လူအခြင့္အေရးရရွိေရး လႈပ္ရွားမႈ ပါဝင္လုပ္ေဆာင္ရန္။
• အျခားေသာအမ်ဳိးသမီးအဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားႏွင့္ ပူးေပါင္း၍ အမ်ဳိးသမီးအခြင့္အေရးႏွင့္ က်ား၊မ တန္းတူရ ရွိေရးအတြက္ လုပ္ေဆာင္သြားရန္။

Mission:

PWO is an organization to empower and advance the social status of Palaung women towards equality, peace and just society.

Objectives:

To develop the status of Palaung women.

To maintain the literacy and culture of Palaung people.

To participate in the democracy, peace and human rights movement for Burma.

To advance and promote gender equality and women’s rights by co-operating with other women’s organizations.

Organizational Profile:

The Palaung Women’s Organization (PWO) was established in 2000 in response to the dearth of women actively participating within other Palaung organizations. Cultural factors determined that men had greater access to training, better English language and computer skills, greater self-confidence and more leadership opportunities.

PWO was formed with the intention of educating and empowering women so that they could develop and strengthen their own self-determination and achieve equality of participation.

PWO provides gender and human rights training to Palaung women and their communities; increases international and community knowledge of the Palaung people, their history and cultures; and raises awareness of the human rights abuses suffered by the Palaung people.
